Description
This dataset measures the traction performance of five shoes subjected to mechanical wear in order to examine the reduced efficacy of slip-resistant shoes as they become worn. Key measurements include the coefficient of friction and under-shoe fluid pressures at baseline and after each worn iteration and the worn region size of each size; calculations include the peak fluid pressure and the fluid force. The dataset description includes details about the data structures and variables used in the Excel worksheet, which are also included in a .doc file in the downloaded zip folder.
